Abstract

In this paper the knowledge of the geographical distribution of sander and bleak has been extended to the basins of the Tagus and Guadiana rivers in Extremadura. To the date, both species have a restricted distribution, however it seems that the expansion of both species have started. Probably, the presence of sander and bleak in Extremadura is a consequence of illegal sportfishing activities.
