Abstract

Political ideology and the institutional model produce “cognitive frames” and “institutional frameworks” that favor different kinds of choices and behaviors. Political Ecology, as a generator of cognitive (ideology) and institutional (government policies) frameworks, can help Agroecology to design cognitive and institutional arrangements and thus develop sustainable rural development.
