Abstract

This text is an attempt to characterize the articulation between Economic Globalization process and Neoliberal Capitalism of the today’s Informational Era into the so-called “Risk Society”, from an agricultural perspective. After an historical contextualization, the rise of the (both: social and ecological) degradation forms generated by the Industrial Mode of Use of natural resources are analyzed. Later on we defi nes Agroecology as a social collective action in response to such as degradation forms, raised from farming experiences that seems articulate together with the dissident of Social Movements against Neoliberalism and Globalization (Sevilla Guzmán &Martinez Allier 2006).
