WEAVER & KELEMEN's (1997) SIMULATION: Global parameters

Below can be seen the values that should be entered for JOLer to replicate the simulation reported by Weaver & Kelemen (1997). The data to be entered in the Global parameters form (menu Simulations>Global parameters) are as follows:

WEAVER & KELEMEN's (1997) SIMULATION: Simulation engine

The values to be entered in the Simulation engine form can be seen in the two tables below. The upper table shows the frequency data for the different JOLs along the JOL bins. It corresponds to the Distribution table in the Simulation engine form. These data have been taken from the Table 2 by Author 1 & Author 2 (submitted):

5130240130240

The table below show the calibration curves for the four simulated conditions. Therefore, the per thousend recall performances for every simulated condition are shown. These data should be entered in the Calibration table of the form. As before, these data have been taken from the Table 2 reported by de Author 1 & Author 2 (submitted):

Table Std.D. does not requiere any standard deviation, as the simulation reported by Weaver & Kelemen (1997) set no idiosyncratic calibration curve or distribution (although see their note 2).

WEAVER & KELEMEN's (1997) SIMULATION: Results

Below can be seen the results yielded by JOLer running on these parameter values (please, notice that a new application run could yield slightly different results):
